The New York State Department Of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) has adapted regulations governing the discharge of storm water from construction sites where more than one acre of soil is disturbed. This regulation has strict requirements in connection with the design and permitting required for regulating storm water and erosion controls.
Developers are subject to significant penalties (stop-work orders and high fines) for non-compliance with these new regulations.
This roundtable will familiarize you with the requirements for compliance with the regulations as well as the consequences of non-compliance. Furthermore, there will be discussion on the recommendations for maintenance of storm water systems on existing operating properties.
